The adventure begins...

Once upon a time in September of 2013 there was a little family by the name of Kohler.  They were doing everything that could be expected.  Brian, the father of this family was a very righteous man.  One day, he got a call from Elder Bednar.  He and his lovely wife, Cheri went to his office.  He said that they might get a call to be mission presidents.  He said the call might come this year, next year, or never.  The lovely parents came home and told their lovely kids Tosha, Tanner, and Erika the news.  The family was scared, but they knew it was going to be alright, no matter what happened they would be okay because they would be together. The next month they got another call and were told they needed to go meet with President Eyring in his office.  He told them that, yes, indeed they would be serving this year and he extended the call.  By then, Tosha was in the MTC on her way to Japan.  Brian worked at the MTC so he went and told her and she was really excited.  That December the family got a special envelope.  When they opened it, it told them that they would be serving in the Alpine German-Speaking mission.  They started packing things and had to ship things ahead.  They gave farewell talks and said goodbyes.  They were to fly to Germany on June 26, 2014.  They said their final goodbyes and went to bed the night before.  All of a sudden an alarm rang and the clock read 4:45 am.......
